This year we had the Smiths over to our house for New Years. Allie cooked up a shrimp and crab appetizer - yummy!
All of the kids (except for Abby) made it till midnight! They were ready and raring the next morning at 8am - kids do not have a snooze button...

Karen and Jessica were the winners of Pinochle for the weekend until Henry badgered them into "one last game" right before they left. He was so desperate to play again that he made us play while eating lunch since the Smiths were going to leave right after lunch. After all these years my Husband still can't handle losing to me. It's so sad.... he, he, he. The guys ended up tying us for the weekend, which they could live with, so we weren't forced to play another game. Sometimes you just have to let them win so that they can leave with their pride in tact. ;)
Caught a few little fish. Henry stayed outside the whole time - it was a little cold. They finally went home when Allie told them (for the third time) that her feet were starting to freeze off. Poor girl, she was a trooper and had fun!
