Alex
This was Alex's clothing choice for today -- one of the hottest days of the summer so far.
Tonight Alex and Henry went shopping. Henry decided to get Alex something from the toy section in Walmart. For those of you who don't know my husband very well, his motto is "If you can't get it at Walmart, you don't need it". It's ridiculous, but whatever. For some reason Alex seems drawn to the most expensive toys. The line we usually use when he picks out one of those toys is "maybe for your birthday". Henry had already used that line a couple of times when they came upon a $5 toy that Henry thought Alex would like. He pointed it out and Alex said "ohhhh, maybe for my birthday". If that wasn't funny enough, Henry pointed out another toy to him and Alex said "oh dad, you crack me up". As if he wasn't even considering that toy. Stuff like that coming out of a 3 yr old just makes me laugh.
After we put Abby to bed tonight Alex and Henry were wrestling downstairs. Alex kept calling to me for help so I would help him out. Henry kept giving Alex a hard time by mimicking him "help me mommy....". Finally Henry asked Alex who's team he was on. He said dad's team. I told Alex if he wanted my help anymore he better think about that answer. He thought for a second and said "I'm on 2 teams". What a politician.

Sorry, Henry. I like Walmart for the prices but sometimes your wife just needs to get to someplace like Baby Gap!
Did Alex survive the whole hot day in that outfit? ha ha
