Backyard fun

Meet the neighbors, or should I say the neighbor's kids. Alex had a ton of fun today playing in the backyard sprinklers with all his friends. Can you remember what it was like for your only worry to be when you were going to go out and play next? Alex doesn't have a care in the world and it shouldn't be any other way. It's too bad that you can't make a kid understand how precious the time that they have right now is. They shouldn't be in such a hurry to grow up. Yep, you get to eat whatever you want whenever you want, but kids don't have to workout like crazy to keep from getting fat (unless your blessed with a wonderful metabolism). Yep, you get to drive a car, but you also get to pay for tabs, insurance, gas, etc... Yep, you get to stay up as late as you want, but you pay for it the next day at work when you feel like crud all day. Nope, you don't have to go to school, but you "get to" go to work whether you like it or not and you don't get a summer vacation or recess after lunch. I think I'd like to go back to 3 yrs old again, how about you? :)
